I discovered that spending only a day in Crown Heights gives the visit almost a field-trip-like quality. I was out all day Thursday (from 11 am to past midnight) running from one friend to the next, and I still missed out on a few attractions. Hence, despite a most awful arrival in JFK, when I began to reconsider my tentative plans of moving to NY after I graduate (the initial shock of going from pretty, peaceful San Diego to filthy, hot, humid, dense NY with its loud and obnoxious crowds, is always overwhelming), less than 48 hours later, I remembered the benefits of moving to NY.
