The other day it occurred to me that the lives of the members of the Lefferts Crew would make great material for a coming-of-age book. A group of over-analytical feminist thinkers who spent their youth dreaming of the endless opportunities that the future held, only to grow up and find their hopes regularly crushed by the harsh realities of life...Alright, maybe that’s a little overdramatic…

Not overdramatic at all! In fact, on the contrary, living through what you've described is even a greater tragi-drama than it seems...
