-Novelist Jonathan Safran Foer after revealing to the New York Times that he didn't compose his new novel in his office but did his writing all over town.
I was going through some old papers and found a Time magazine clipping of a review of What Should I do with My Life by Po Bronson entitled “Hint: It’s not Plastics.” (Ironically, plastics is sort of what I’m doing...) A quote from the book:
Failure’s hard, but success is far more dangerous. If you’re successful at the wrong thing, the mix of praise and money and opportunity can lock you in forever.

I loved The Graduate...and scarily, I relate to it even more, now, that whole scene with the floating in the pool aimlessly.
A penny for your fortune: You'll be a pschychologist one day. *_-
Funny that you say that - I've 4 of Freud's books plus the DSM IV out from the library...But unlikely that I'll become a pschychologist. Too much writing and BS in that profession. For now I'll continue to float aimlessly and try to get a master's from MIT on the side.
