My labmate inspired me to add “read the news” to my collection of procrastination tools. Of course, I only glance at the headlines before moving on to find distraction in things like book reviews. Great line from one: “His overeducation makes him impatient lugging other people's stuff around, even though it qualifies him for little else” (NYtimes book review of A Working Stiff's Manifesto).
