academic woes

Aside from a brief period a few weeks ago when research was surprisingly bearable and almost interesting, my struggle with research continues to be as grueling as ever. Now that I have participated in research under 5 different professors, in 5 different areas of study, spanning 3 disciplines, and at 3 universities, I think it's safe to say that research is not my thing. But with one more year to go and the much-dreaded thesis looming in the not too distant future, the need to transform my research into a tolerable and achievable task is becoming more urgent. But how?
