Read the article, skip the book and the film, both are most awful, and have little value other than to give over a most depressing view of life. The article is similarly sad, but interesting in that Mr. Krohn seems like a character out of E.L. Doctorow's Ragtime.

The most morbid book and film were recommended by a friend, and as much as I appreciate suggestions, I just must learn to discriminate.
