free quarks do not exist

The latest discussion on Dovid’s blog disturbs waters that have been largely stagnant due to deliberate inattention, but only ever so slightly, since very little of what is being discussed there hits on the likes of my own particular qualms, and I’m too bogged down by the challenges of the physical world (school is getting intense) to find much time to reflect on such philosophical issues. But a thought that occurred to me: if there is a religious gene, I must have gotten a defective one...
