Beyond California Dreaming*
The weather has been unbelievably perfect in Cambridge lately. (It's hard to tell just how much nicer the weather is up here in the spring versus in NYC, but I suspect it's significantly better here, although it was admittedly pretty nice in NY last week too. I suppose it also helps that it's generally much prettier in Cambridge, and there's less pollution, so there's none of that hazy sunshine that you get in NYC, and there's the river--I think the river is what I'm going to miss most about Cambridge...). Now I'm just wishing I were outside enjoying the weather while it lasts: learning to sail, playing tennis, biking along the river, reading on my roof deck, or even walking back to campus to pick up the Oppenheimer book I forgot to pick up earlier, but instead I'm sitting home, under obligation to get started on my thesis, making friends with shadows on my walls...
*Got the report from my grandfather that the weather in San Diego has been awful these past couple weeks. Anyone up for a trip to the Bahamas in June?

been listening to matchbox twenty lately ;)?
also, any reason you de-enabled the feed thingie for your blog? I've been trying to get into using RSS feeds lately (I don't like 'em for some reason, but it seems logical.)

Yeah, that and whatever else they play on the radio over and over and over again! The songs are coming out of my ears, and hence ending up splattered on my blog as well. "So why can't I turn off the radio?" (recognize the song?) Because I need to listen to something while I work on my thesis, or I'll get too bored, and I'm so tired of the music on my computer, and I've exhausted my tolerance for launch.yahoo.com as well...

Yeah, sorry, there is a reason. I kind of want to limit accessibility to my blog :). I don't want new readers finding it...Ten people reading my nonsense is more than enough for me.
If ya want anything, I just got DSL (like just just--I finally got it set up and working 20 minutes ago) and have lots of music.
I understand about not wanting people to read. There's a reason I have an anonymous and password-protected blog...
Thanks :). But I've got much of your music already...It's hopeless...Though I'm considering digging up my Israeli music collection.
Enjoy the internet! I'm actually canceling my cable next week...$50 a month is too high a price for an endless supply of procrastination material.
I've gotten so much more since then...but another awesome thing I've just found is http://pandorafm.real-ity.com/
You give them songs and artists you really like, and they play similar thigns for you--based on some comprehensive big analysis they did called the music genome project, where they identified the elements in each song. And they play the songs at 128 Kbps, so it's good quality. I sound like an advertisement...
Still illegally downloading music? *shaking head in mocking disapproval*
Pandorafm sounds like launch, but they'll probably suggest different music, so thanks for the advertisement, I'll give it a try one of these days if the sound on my computer holds out (My computer has been getting all funky on me: the modem hasn't been working, and the sound just acts up sometimes, getting fuzzy and fast...It's really frustrating granted that I have this computer for less than a year, but I'm looking forward to get my warrantee's worth by sending it back to be fixed or replaced once I finish my thesis. Hopefully it won't completely break down on me before then...)
Hey there, I so miss my yearly Stanford visit. I was tempted to take spring break there. The hills in the spring are great.
I'll be 25 this July. I'm planning a trip to the Grand Canyon!
