cuz worry is wasteful

Not much in the mood of writing lately, though perhaps it’s more the shortage of spare time that explains my failure to update. I was so looking forward to enjoying the plethora of free time my classmates bragged about when they began working in the corporate world while I chose to continue reporting to professors, but it seems that I’m more preoccupied now than ever…

Although, in a way, I’d rather be in bed right now, my latest reading material—a compilation of essays by Daphne Merkin somewhat scandalously entitled Dreaming of Hitler—put me in writing mode. In her book, there’s the “flash of recognition” that I rarely find in writing by female authors (I’d make a terrible feminist), rousing the writer in me, and all day I've been composing snippets of a post in my head...But alas, I’m suddenly very tired… Perhaps, if I have time at work, I’ll write the actual post tomorrow.

It’s interesting, if not a little embarrassing to be reading on the subway (she writes shamelessly on some pretty taboo topics…), and many of her essays seem like unfinished thoughts, though I haven’t decided yet if that’s a redeeming factor or critique...

I know, I know...Finding the time and patience to write is becoming more and more difficult...Still have some old posts I want to write, we’ll see if I ever get around to them…

Nah, I wouldn't recommend the book as a whole (see latest post), though at least a few of the essays are well worth reading.
