makes me want to scream (and/or cry)
I’ve been sucking up being treated like a secretary for over 3 months already, and I don’t know how much longer I can take it. I spent six years in school studying something technical specifically to avoid holding a secretarial job. I don’t want to spend the bulk of my day sitting in a dreary cubicle scanning field notes, organizing field notes, typing field notes, and worst of all, making follow up phone calls on issues that I know very little about and which end up making me sound very much like a secretary would. I wonder, am I being treated this way because I’m a woman? I understand that this is an entry level position and you have to start at the bottom, but if they don’t have work for an engineer, why’d they hire me? They could have saved themselves a lot of money by hiring a secretary (and saved me a lot of frustration…).
Yes, I’m blogging about my job, and I really shouldn’t, especially from work, but I have to relay my anger somewhere, otherwise it’ll end up coming out on one of my “taskmasters” faces.
(To be fair, there were a couple weeks when I was doing remotely cool work of calculating minor details and checking calculations and spreadsheets of slightly that were more complex, and although that sort of work can be boring, and not very mentally stimulating, I do learn something other than proper secretarial skills.)
Alright, I've seen the real world, now can I go back to school?

No new post, huh? I think I'm officially declaring this blog defunct...
Come on, I post at least once a week, since when is that defunct? (When you had a blog, you hardly posted more often than that.)
