the unfaltering companionship of the written word
Over the course of 49 hours I read, in no particular order: about 45 pages on sodium/salt, 41 pages of a classmate’s thesis on Mexico City's transportation system (or lack thereof) , this week’s Time , the most recent issue of The Tech, one Isaac Bashevis Singer short story, the first couple chapters of Everything is Illuminated by Jonathan Safran Foer (found it lame), and a biography of Saul Bellow by James Atlas (all 599 pages). As one could imagine, I did little of anything else. And alas, the concluding days of Pesach were most enjoyable after all.
